The public nomination portal for Indiana’s Opportunity Zone 2.0 selection process closed at 5:00 p.m. EDT on July 17, 2026.

The State is now reviewing stakeholder recommendations submitted through the portal, along with eligible census tract data, agency priorities, READI region input, and other relevant information. Submission of a recommendation through the portal does not guarantee Opportunity Zone designation.

Indiana will submit its final list of nominated census tracts for federal certification on or before September 28, 2026. The new Opportunity Zone designations will take effect beginning January 1, 2027.
