Indiana may nominate 126 census tracts for federal Opportunity Zone designation in 2026. The “2026 Eligible Census Tracts” map below identifies census tracts currently eligible for consideration under federal law. The “2018 Designated OZs” map shows the 156 census tracts designated as Opportunity Zones in 2018, as well as which of these are eligible for redesignation in 2026. Note that the census tract geographies vary between the two maps because the 2020 U.S. Census changed some tract boundaries and numbers.
