Accelerated Development of Automotive Propulsion Technology (ADAPT)

ADAPT helps Indiana’s automotive supply chain businesses diversify their manufacturing capabilities and future-proof their businesses. The program provides match funding to help small- and medium-sized (SME) manufacturers expand beyond traditional combustion engine vehicles to capture emerging market opportunities – positioning Hoosier companies to compete for and lead the future of automotive manufacturing.

Grants range from $100,000 to $1 million and will support automotive suppliers in their expansion to hybrid, plug-in hybrid, battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. The awards, which require a minimum 1:1 match investment from the company, will help manufacturers invest in and develop new, commercial-ready capabilities, offsetting costs related to new equipment and software and workforce training.

Application window: Oct. 26, 2026 – Jan. 8, 2027
