Indiana Global Economic Summit: Postponed

POSTPONED: Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, the Indiana Global Economic Summit has been postponed. Get the latest updates here.

The opportunities and challenges Indiana faces today in a rapidly-evolving economy are shared. They are defined less by geography and more by the ability to share ideas and work together to create innovative solutions to universal issues.

The first-ever Indiana Global Economic Summit will convene global thought leaders, decision makers and trailblazers in the heart of the U.S. to advance conversations on the future of industry, talent, connectivity and communities.

“The world is more connected now than ever before,” said Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger. “The opportunities and challenges we face today in a rapidly-evolving economy are shared, and we’re in an exciting position to learn from one another and to work together to advance industry, innovation, workforce, connectivity and quality of life. As a state, we’re committed to ensuring that our state is a premier, global hub for talent and for business, and this Summit is another exciting chance to bring the world back to Indiana and showcase our people and our communities that make Indiana the best place to live, work and play.”

PROGRAMMING

The Summit’s programming will spark new conversations around global topics with local implications such as logistics, diplomacy, cybersecurity, diversity in leadership, global food markets and supply, technology, higher education and workforce.

These conversations are happening on the coasts, but we see a compelling reason to bring them to Indiana, where unique intersections exist between traditional sectors and industry 4.0, global business and start-ups, and rural and urban communities.

Our focus is on providing an environment ideal for:

•  Building key relationships

•  Engaging in meaningful exchanges

•  Discovering new ideas

•  Developing new economic and cultural partnerships
