HGMC Supply, Inc. (doing business as HG Metals) provides steel construction as a general and subcontractor and provides metal fabrication services to the general industrial market segment. HGMC has performed on several high-profile public projects including the new Indianapolis Airport, Lucas Oil Stadium, White River State Park, and the Indiana Convention Center expansion. Annual revenues are approximately $5 million. The financing structure provided to support this company’s growth included Lynx Capital, Indiana Community Business Credit Corp, CIFI, Indiana Statewide CDC and IR CDE Three (a small new market tax credit pool). Utilizing multiple sources of capital allowed the balance sheet to be appropriately structured with the right cost of capital.
As both a minority-owned and woman-owned business enterprise (MBE and WBE) HG Metals received a boost with the launch of the new International Airport construction in 2010. During this period HG Metals was successful in establishing a steel fabrication production facility to offer value-added services in the construction and commercial markets of Central Indiana.
