In 2021, Governor Eric J. Holcomb launched READI, allocating $500 million to 17 regions that represent all of Indiana’s 92 counties. In 2022 alone, over 350 READI projects were proposed across the state of Indiana, with a focus on three key areas: Quality of Life, Quality of Place, and Quality of Opportunity.

Tolson Center for Community Excellence
The Tolson Center for Community Excellence is a local community center located in the neighborhood of South Central Elkhart and is anticipated to serve 300-500 individuals through on-site programming. The programs delivered will focus on inclusive learning, cultural exchange, and recreation that have monthly outputs and outcomes focused on the number of youth programs.

Quality of Place
Fort Wayne International Airport - Project Gateway West
Project Gateway will allow for the expansion of the number of gates and allow the airport to use all 11 aircraft parking positions simultaneously to better serve our airline partners and our passengers. With $3 million in funding from the IEDC, FWA will be poised to become a best-in-class facility and an exceptional front door to our community.

Quality of Opportunity
Propeller Innovation Center
The Propeller Innovation Center Program will focus on offering classes, led by certified instructors, to support the development of manufacturing, technology, trade and other introductory skills. The project also provides access to resources such as 3D printers, woodworking and metalworking equipment, and an electronics lab. The classes and training are expected to begin August 2022 and continue until July 2025.

READI was launched by Governor Holcomb and led by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). With a massive $500 million fund, READI aims to foster regional collaboration and data-driven, long-term planning to bring the best and brightest to Indiana.
